The ECFC was founded in the spring of 2007. The main purpose of the club is to establish and further friendships within the fishing community. Although, we are still relatively young, the club-related activities have generated numerous friendships, healthy rivalries, and lots of memorable fishing adventures (see ECFC Galleries). The ECFC meets every first Monday of the month at 7:00 PM at the Point Hope United Methodist Church, Mount Pleasant. The ECFC is a family-friendly group of approximately 110 fishing enthusiasts who love to fish but also enjoy getting together on a regular base to socialize and have fun. The picture above was taken at the 2010 Christmas Party in the Clubhouse of Hamlin Plantation, the slideshow below is from the Third Annual "Let the Spring Begin" ECFC Cook-out on Saturday, April 16th, 2011, in Palmetto Island County Park, Mount Pleasant.
ECFC Charity Events: The ECFC has participated 5 times in in the Fishing Rodeo for children with disabilities and special needs. These events are organized by Family Connection of South Carolina and held at the Sewee Environmental Education Center in Awendaw. Members of the club (and friends/family) assist the children in catching and releasing fish from the well-stocked pond. It is always a very rewarding activity where ECFC members contribute to a fantastic day for the participants.
-------------------------------------------------------------------- Membership Dues. Dues have been established at $40.00 a year. Membership runs from January 1st to December 31st of each year. All new members are kindly requested to fill out a (new) membership application form for the 2012 season (click here to download PDF file) and send the form and a check to the address listed on the form. Picture of the Month On March 24th, 2012, "new" and "old" members got together to fish and socialize in the waterways "east of the cooper". It was a successful event and everybody had great time even though the conditions did not allow for monster catches by the participating teams.
